This was the first game that I was the Audio Lead on. The team all thought it should have heavy rock music in it.

Were there any unused songs that you wrote during the development of skitchen? Wish you had made more grunge/numetal/thrash music like this. One of the greatest vg soundtracks of its time, and definitely one of my favorites. When I was a kid, I used to hook up my genesis to my stereo and jam these tunes out on my 15″ cerwin vegas. Good times.
Anyway, thank you for your invaluable contribution to music.
Thanks for your message. There’s no unused songs unfortunately. Other games that I’ve done heavy stuff on are the NHL 96-99 series. There’s also some heavy stuff on Paint the Town Red as well as my old band Fuzzpilot.
This is one of the most influential OST’s of my life. It made me seek out alternative music and definitely shaped my whole music taste. I still listen to the songs of Skitchin’ all the time, in fact that’s how I found this page 🙂
Holy crap! You did Skitchin’, Rome Total War, and Assault Android Cactus? Do you understand that humans are supposed to have limits? I never would have guessed all 3 were you.
OMG You did the music for Skitchin too?! I played this game all the time on Sega Channel when I was in elementary school and loved the soundtrack! How did you do those midi bass slides almost 30 years ago?! You are a legend, Jeff.
what a silly game LOL, seems like in Vancouver you drive only on the left lane and there are ramps in the freeway too! the drivers don’t notice any crazy bladers catchin a ride, how fun.
Good work on the music, good days 🙂
This was always one of my favorite Genesis soundtracks back in “the day.” I just want to offer my kudos on it, especially considering this was your first job as Audio Lead.

The music in this game was so awesome. I had a lot of fun with this game, but the music was part of what kept me going when it got frustrating.
This soundtrack is spot on. Way to get that heavy sound with the 32 bits lol!! What were some of your rock influences at the time?
Rage Against the Machine, Sound Garden, Stone Temple Pilots, Metalica, Pantera….you get the idea.

i wanna go to rollin with this music !)))) Piece of game in real life !

Skitchin’ music still rocks today. I loved that game back than.
I <3 this album with a cool game to play in the background…bought this game when it first debuted…
My Fave songs are Smog Dog and Smells Like Tuna
